Howdy, I have used the search function already but didn't find this specific issue. Gear: PC, win7 64 bit ultimate. WDTV Live Setup: Intending to use the media server function in WMP to playout to the WDTV What I've done: I have added all my video and music directories to WMP (and it sees them all).
I have 'Automatically allow devices to play my media' I have also ensured that my WDTV is 'allowed' in the streaming options. I have enabled media streaming. I have tested with both hard wired and wifi with no differing results. Problem: In my explorer window under Media Devices I can see 'WDTV Live' but not my own media server (which should be there). This is reflected in that the WDTV does not see my media server and thus can't stream anything.
Click the “Media streaming options” link under Network and Sharing Center. Click the “Turn on media streaming” button to enable the media-streaming server. Although this Control Panel doesn’t mention the term “DLNA” at all, the media streaming feature in Windows is a DLNA-compliant media server.
Anyone have any ideas? All help is greatly appreciated.
Similar help and support threads Thread Forum Hi all, I really hope someone can help me. I want to remove all media devices from my network so I have done the following - 1. Blocked all the media devices that were listed within the media streaming options so it shows that media streaming is off 2. Stopped and disabled the Windows Media.
Network & Sharing Sony Media Player DLNA Server problems Sony Network Media Player SMP-N100. Problem – playback from shows recorded in Media Center staggers – stutters. TV is connected to Sony MediaPlayer – and it seems to work fine streaming NetFlix and other videos from the internet direct. Music, Pictures & Video Hello all, First of all I'm new to the forum, but have come for many different issues, and have been unable to find any actual threads about my particular issue.
I have been racking my brain for about a week now trying to figure out where I'm going wrong or if there is just no possible way to do. Network & Sharing I can't figure out what happened either. I was proceeding to play Call of Duty black Ops when I noticed under music and pictures that my USERNAME-PC icon was not there. I went to check and make sure the computer was on, and it was. I was like that is weird.
I don't remember deleting my homegroup. Network & Sharing I have 4 computers all running windows 7-3 in 32 and 1 in 64. All were working fine and no issues with my mediasmart 470 server. I only have one computer with console running. The other day pp3 came out and has made a mess of my computer that has connector to server. It seems to have corrupted. Hi Eduardo, Here's the screenshot of my net.conf In case if you can't open the link, # This is the net backend config file. ## net backend options # Timeout for the initial connection to saned. This will prevent the backend # from blocking for several minutes trying to connect to an unresponsive # saned host (network outage, host down.). Value in seconds.
# connecttimeout = 60 ## saned hosts # Each line names a host to attach to. # If you list 'localhost' then your backends can be accessed either # directly or through the net backend. Going through the net backend # may be necessary to access devices that need special privileges. # localhost 192.168.1.119. I just followed every instruction on my post once again. Here's my current setup: iMac running 10.9.1 Raspberry Pi running Raspbmc Canon Printer PIXMA MP630 connected via USB to the Raspberry Pi I ran everything from start including cups setup.
Imac3: eep$ scanimage -L device `pixma:04A9172E145C70' is a CANON Canon PIXMA MP630 multi-function peripheral A couple more suggestions: I'm posting my conf files on the link below. They represent the full path on the mac and on the raspberry pi. Also, take a look at this link and make sure your scanner model is listed. Finally, try this: On the Raspberry Pi: $ lsusb Look for the device ID for your scanner. It's made up of two identifiers separated by ':' and look under /etc/saned.d/. on the Raspberry PI searching for the vendorID and productID on your scanner's brand file If it's not there you may try to add it yourself but there's no guarantee that it will work.
It should identify it at least. Another tool you may try to run while debugging on the Raspberry Pi is $ sane-find-scanner Other than this I really don't know how I can help you more. Sorry. Hello, thanks for your help. Unfortunately i have my HP listed under supported devices er.pl?manu=Hewlett+Packard&model=&bus=any and i do not have problem on my RPi - there is scanner and i can scan via cmd line just fine, it's just Mac problem that from there it showing no scanners whatsoever. So maybe my Mac cant find remote scanner or just is not properly communicating with rpi, but i dont have clue why.
Maybe: when i change anything in any conf file, do i have to restart some services? Thanks. Hi Ethan and Pagocs I have just ran this on Mavericks as I thought there could be some issue with 10.9.1 but it all worked fine. Let's do some troubleshooting. Let's make sure 'saned' is running on the Pi. Log on to the Pi and enter $ sudo netstat -ltunap grep saned You should get a line similar to this one: tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:6566 0.0.0.0:. LISTEN 2214/saned which means saned is running and listening on port 6566 on any IP on the Pi If you don't, then saned is not running and listening on the proper port.
Now on the mac try: $ telnet IPofyourPi 6566 In my setup: telnet 192.168.1.169 6566 And make sure you got a 'Connected to. If you don't, then something is blocking tcp connections on that port to your raspberry Pi.
Hello Eduardo, Thank you for your help, I found the mistake. Unfortunately no, I already added the necessary IP range during the setup. The part of the config file look like the following. ## Access list # A list of host names, IP addresses or IP subnets (CIDR notation) that # are permitted to use local SANE devices. IPv6 addresses must be enclosed # in brackets, and should always be specified in their compressed form. # # The hostname matching is not case-sensitive.
